Five-Element Pulse Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies
by Neil Gumenick
This course will train practitioners to accurately read pulses, determining the degrees of excess or deficiency.
Five-Element Pulse Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies
Course Overview
This course will train practitioners to accurately read pulses, determining the degrees of excess or deficiency. They will develop, step by step, the ability to determine what a given patient’s “normal” pulse should feel like if they were balanced, healthy, and “normal”. Then, they will learn to feel what is actually there. From this, appropriate treatment strategies can be carried out.Students will have the means to know, by pulse change, if their treatments were successful or not. Several essential treatment strategies will be presented, including Exit/Entry Blocks, imbalances between paired Officials (Organs/Functions) within an element, and transfers of energy using the K’e and Sheng Cycles.
Course Objectives
- To accurately learn the pulse positions of all 12 Officials.
- To learn to use the extreme tip of the finger for pulse taking.
- To learn pulse diagnosis in stages.
- To learn to detect and clear Exit/Entry Blocks.
- To learn how to create balance and harmony by simple transfers of energy.
Course Outline
0 hrs - 30 minThe first portion of the seminar will present the “golden rules” of pulse taking and the pulse positions of each Organ/Function. Presentation of pulse taking practice will be presented in stages: first comparing paired Officials within an Element, then comparing in relation to one Official, finally learning to determine a patient’s “norm” or ideal pulse, and comparing all Officials to that.
30 min - 1 hrsThe second portion will discuss several essential treatment strategies, which can only be determined by accurate pulse diagnosis.

I'd been looking for an online course for ages and couldn't find anything and had been reading instead. A video demo makes it so much easier to understand and is excellent value for money. The level of detail including how to handle a patient and record notes was also good to know as well as the recommendations on practising pulse taking.miranda h.United Kingdom
This pulse diagnosis training is so simplified to a layman understanding.JEPHTHAH B.Nigeria
