Course Overview
Course 2 contains Lessons 6-11 of the Alchemist Recovery Program. It builds upon the foundation laid down in Course 1 where we established clear definitions and an agreed upon language to use with our clients.With this understanding, Course 2 digs into the roots and explores the deep, underlying causes for an addiction.
We follow this path:
Lesson 6: The 4 Stages of Recovery
Lesson 7: Belief - Where the Wound Is
Lesson 8: How Did I Get This Way?
Lesson 9: The Yin Yang of Addiction
Lesson 10: The Voice of TAHL - Your Limiting Core Belief
Lesson 11: Truth vs Lies
The work we perform here in Course 2 will not only reveal the underlying causes for one’s addiction but it will also explain how this occurs from a TCM perspective.

Course Objectives
- Learn about the origins of addiction
- Use Yin Yang theory to simply explain the characteristics and mechanisms that form the basis for an addiction
- Learn a TCM view of trauma
- Learn tools to immediately apply into practice
Course Outline
0 hrs - 1 hrsLesson 6: The 4 Stages of Recovery. Practitioners can use this model to track a client’s progress through recovery. TCM tools are implemented at each Stage.
1 hrs - 2 hrsLesson 7: Belief - Where the Wound Is. An in depth examination of a client’s Belief is performed here. We safely begin to look at trauma, abuse, heartbreak and loss and how these forms of Fright contribute to addiction.
2 hrs - 3 hrsLesson 8: How Did I Get This Way? Using the information gather in Lesson 7, we go deeper into the mechanisms that form the origins of addiction.
3 hrs - 5 hrsLesson 9: The Yin Yang of Addiction. We use the 8 Principle Theory of Yin Yang to explain basic factors of addition.
5 hrs - 7 hrsLessons 10 & 11: Truth vs Lies. We explore how the TCM concept of Zhi relates to the modern psychological term of a Limiting Core Belief. This is the Seed that is planted in Water (to use introduce the 5 Element Model) of the Cycle of Addiction.
