Course Overview
The role of emotions, as internal causes of disease, have been well known in the Chinese medical practice. Emotions having evolved from primary instincts, are human responses to the outer world, and depend primarily on individual mind-sets. The outer world is perceived through the lens of the Shen ≈ Psyche and processed by the Luo ≈ Connecting vessels. Understanding the energetic impact of the emotions is essential in the treatment management. The treatment of psycho-emotional patterns is part of treating the “Hidden Roots of Disease”.Course Objectives
- To understand the function of emotions and basic instincts, realation to the Zang-fu; the Will to live. Emotions and Belief mechanisms. Processing the outer world and the Luo. Mood, emotion, temperament. Concept of the 5 Emotions and 7 Passions.
- Understanding the energetic effects, disharmony patterns, diagnosis & treatment strategies for Joy, Worry, Anxiety; Sadness; Oppression; Fear; Shock; Romantic love, Desire, Passion, Jealousy; Hatred; Guilt & Shame. Personality disorders and the Luo.
- Treatment strategies for emotional release. Harmonizing the Zang-Fu. Releasing the Back Zhi points and the Luo vessels. Harmonizing the Temperaments and the Shen; Dealing with moods, emotions & temperaments. Eight Extraordinary vessels and emotions.
