The magazine is published in French!
It has its origins in in the review Méridiens, the Bulletin of the Society of Acupuncture created in 1950 by Doctors Khoubesserian and Malapert, and the Revue d'Acupuncture, organ of the Association Scientifique des Médecins Acupuncteurs de France - Ecole Française d'Acupuncture (ASMAF-EFA).
Doctor Didier Fourmont, founder of the Revue Méridiens in 1968, was its Publishing Director until 1997, when Doctor Jean-Claude Dubois took over from him.
Le Mensuel du Médecin Acupuncteur the was created in 1973 by Nguyen Van Nghi, with Albert Gourion as first editor. In 1982 it became the French review of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Since 2002, "Acupuncture & Moxibustion" is the one and only French acupuncture journal, open to all fields of Chinese Medicine. The current President is Dr Jean-Marc Stephan (President of the National Union des Médecins Acupuncteurs de France), with Dr Florence Phan-Choffrut as Director.
Since June 2019, there is a cooperation agreement between the journals "Acupuncture and Moxibustion" and "Chinese Medicine and Culture".
The association "Acupuncture & Moxibustion" is a non-profit association under the 1901 Law, jointly managed by ASMAF-EFA and GERA.
